Encouraging your child to participate in martial arts can be one of the best decisions a parent can make for their child. Studies have shown that martial arts is one of the best activities for building strong self-confidence and a great way to relieve and manage stress.
To adults, childhood can seem like a carefree time. But kids still experience stress. Daily challenges such as school and social life can sometimes create pressures that can feel overwhelming for kids. As a parent, you can’t protect your kids from stress - but you can help them develop healthy ways to cope with stress and solve everyday problems. When practicing martial arts children improve their physical fitness through exercises while balancing the way their mind works with their body that in turn generates a healthy and positive environment to deal with stress.
Discipline is necessary and is part of most martial art programs; however, your child should have fun and leave class with a feeling of accomplishment. We welcome parents to stay during class so that they can observe their child is not just "another kid in the bunch". We do our best to make sure each student is getting the attention they deserve, and are happy.
One of the most important differences you will find with our program is that we practice both the sport and self defense elements of the art form. Within a few weeks you will notice your child’s physical fitness excel, improved mental discipline, emotional composure, and a new sense of responsibility for oneself and others.
